The Cinephile’s Lounge: Week 26

Well, I’m ready for the weekend – how ’bout you? I feel ready enough for the weekend that I need an extra special cinema to hang out in.

Gorgeous, is it not? Very unique. If I ever get to go to Florida, I’d go out of my way to catch a movie there.

So what is up for the Film Inquirers? What have you watched this week? Anything you’d recommend? Anything you’re planning to see this weekend?

I didn’t get to see many movies this week, but next week I’ll be going to screenings of The Lunchbox and Jersey Boys. I’m excited about the former – I haven’t seen many Bollywood movies, honestly. I’m also curious to see Jersey Boys, Clint Eastwoods latest project, based on the musical of the same name. I’m a bit biased towards musicals, but with Eastwood’s style, at least it won’t be as overly happy happy joy joy as so many of them are.

Otherwise, I’ve been binge-watching Orphan Black and Orange is the New Black. Great series, both of them. Couldn’t get enough, it sucks when you watch a finale and there’s this black hole afterwards. Now that Game of Thrones and Fargo are finished, and Penny Dreadful‘s almost finished… It’s winter here, unlike in the rest of the world, so I don’t really like the summer slump you’re having on the Northern Hemisphere! At least Suits‘ fourth season just began.

As usual, I have a bunch of great movie articles I found around the web for you, and our question of the week!

[hero heading=”Question of the Week”]What is a movie you think is really awesome, that everyone else thinks is bad? Likewise, what is a movie you think is really bad that everyone else thinks is awesome? Why?[/hero]

Sound off in the comments – I’m always looking forward to meeting new (and old) readers!
