Say whatever you want about the 86th Academy Awards, it was a thoroughly enjoyable show! Tell me, how did you spend the night (or if you’re in a different time zone, like me, the day)?

It was my first time ever watching the show live. I loved it! In fact, I always kind of glorified the Oscars, and they were so much more clumsy than I ever imagined. The actors were actual people who like pizza (just like me, WOW! lol), dresses looked much better moving than in static pictures, old actors get old, and everyone was truly excited to be there. Benedict Cumberbatch’s brilliant U2 photobomb, case in point. The energy was kind of giddy. It’s too bad we have to wait another whole year for the 87th edition.

What was your favorite moment of the show? Your favorite speech? One of my favorites was Cate Blanchett’s speech – she is so eloquent! Also, Lupita’s really brought tears to my eyes. I’m compulsively watching all the speeches and memorable moments of the night again on YouTube. It can’t be helped.

Last week we prepared for the 86th Academy Awards with a bunch of infographics, and now it’s time to wrap up with infographs – however sad it is, the awards season is over. Let’s celebrate the winners!

To view them in their entirety – these infographs are HUGE – right click on them and open them in a new tab or window.
