Where Michael Myers was the boogie man of the late 1970s, Freddie Krueger was for the 80s.
And while not an instant horror classic, giving in to its at times predictable storyline and faults in believability, it definitely proves itself a worthy player.
Sure it doesn’t have the best acting, narrative or even the best effects, but Freddy vs. Jason offers audiences a return to slashers of old.
While by no means without its faults, The Midnight Man, from director Travis Zariwny, is a good time horror film that fans of the genre will love.
