ESCAPE ROOM: TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS Trailer

The deadly puzzles are back in Escape Room: Tournament of Champions, the latest from director Adam Robitel.

A sequel to the 2019 film Escape Room, this movie sees the previous round’s winners, aka survivors, Zoey and Ben caught once more caught in a series of elaborate escape rooms with deadly consequences (and fun themes!). This time everyone who’s playing has already won before, so expect the puzzles to be more complex and the deaths to be more gruesome. But the real problem this opens up is that they may never escape, even if they make it out of this round, too.

With Robitel remaining at the helm of the series, don’t expect this to stray too far from what made the original a box office success. That doesn’t mean it was a critical success, of course (and it wasn’t), so hopefully he can tweak it enough to leave everyone happy.

Given that their characters survived the last movie and were set up for a sequel, it’s no surprise to see Taylor Russell and Logan Miller return as Zoey and Ben, respectively. Co-starring with them as the mysterious new players are Indya Moore, Holland Roden, Thomas Cocquerel, and Carlito Olivero.

Who will survive was the big question last time. Now, they’ll have to be more proactive to make it stop.

Escape Room: Tournament of Champions is directed by Adam Robitel and stars Taylor Russell, Logan Miller, and Indya Moore. It will be released in the US and the UK on July 16th, 2021. For international release dates, click here.
